Over-Dimensional
No load is too big
A solution for unconventional dimensions and specialized freight.
These shipments will most likely require open deck trailers.
Some shipments are considered over-dimensional and overweight at the same time.
Most Commonly Used for:
Construction Material
Machinery or Other Equipments
Heavy Products (cargo exceeding 48,000 lbs)
Oversized Shipments
These include cargo that are larger, wider or taller than standard dimensions.
Travel permits are required for every state the truck travels through.
Dimensional requirements vary between states.
As a general rule, most cargo that extends beyond the trailer's width or length and the truck's height will require a state travel permit.
Over Weight Shipments
Most states have a maximum weight limit of 80,000 lbs (including truck and cargo) before requiring a travel permit.
Most trailer can carry a maximum of 35,000-48,000 lbs of cargo without needing a travel permit.
